THIS HAS TO BE IT! warm handshakes and
smiles welcome you to Lone Mountain Rv Park, in Obrien,Oregon. A
beautiful, small park tucked in behind the O'Brien Market is a wonderful
surprise. The hosts are friendly and warm in welcoming thier guests and
keep the park neat and orderly at all times.. You might even get to meet
the owner and get a hug if you are real lucky.
This little oasis has everything to offer its guests . My husband and i
have been there twice and will continue to make it our little get away
spot. They even have a wonderful little swimming hole fed by the
Illinois River. The park has nice spaces upkept with green grass and
even redwood trees planted everywhere. It is amazing when a park owner
cares so much about his clients and his land and has someone to over see
it like the present hosts, Jim and Cathy, who are very helpful and
carring. We hated to leave today,BUT WE WILL BE BACK.
Sam and Sidney McDonald..
We are packing up to head home, and my
daughter is crying. She doesn't want to leave. Neither do I, but we ran
out of dog food. This is such a wonderful place to stay. Jim and Cathy,
the onsite Hosts are so gracious and welcoming. The owner Glen even
stopped by to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The park itself is
wonderful, lush green grass in every site, nice level parking pads, a
wonderful gazebo and community fire pit, that we sat at and met some
other really wonderful travelers.
We stayed here for 5 days and were centrally located to so many
wonderful day trips. We went to Grants Pass one day to ride the Jet
Boats, went to the Treesort in Takilma and did the Zip line course, and
then into California to see the Redwoods. The grocery store on the
corner is well stocked for any sundries you may have forgotten. So
wether you are driving through or need a homebase while enjoying
beautiful Southern Oregon, I highly recommend Lone Mt. RV. We will
definitely be back!
After reading the testimonials for this
campground I knew this is where my boyfriend and I should go to stay
while passing through on a road trip. I emailed the park and right when
we pulled in, they knew exactly who I was. The camp host's were as nice
as can be. They made us feel so welcome and the camp is super clean. We
stayed in #5 right next to the water and got to watch deer come right in
and drink in front of us. We know we will be going back to stay in their
teepee's (they look so fun). Thanks again for being so warm and
welcoming. I will be seeing you again :) --Vegas Val :)
This place is awesome for camping if
you're in the Cave Junction area. It's about 8 miles west of Cave
Junction actually, and we stumbled across it by accident because we were
looking for a state campground that we never found. Apparently it
doesn't exist, we found out later...
We pulled into this campground because it was getting really late and we
didn't want to turn around back to Cave Junction. When you first pull
in, all you see are RV spots, which are kind of funny because it's all
concrete and rock, except for a big patch of very manicured green grass
beside each spot. They have 5 tent camping sites, which are far away
from the entrance... you drive around the back and go into the wooded
area. Each of their tent sites are very far away from the other so you
have lots of privacy. When we were there, there was only one other
family at site 1 and we were at site 5, closest to the swimming hole!
It's really pretty there, the bathroom and shower is amazingly clean and
spacious. It's actually only one stall and one shower, but it seemed
like nobody ever used it because they have their own RV's. Showers are
$1.25 for 10 mins, which is plenty. Tent sites are $15, but if you have
AAA/CAA, it's $13.50. Awesome deal for a great site.
One of the nicest
parks we have stayed. Facilities are pristine, everything works all the
time! Streets/sites are hard level gravel, nice and big, backin sites
are very wide, lots of room for slides and awnings. There is a small
stream running along one side. The tent sites are in the back along with
rental teepees, very cool! Only downsides are: 1) The cost of showers
($1.25 for 10 min). 2) There are only 10 cable TV channels, but the
Wi-Fi is great. 3) And, it's a bit isolated. There is a corner store and
gas station (no diesel, but they have propane). It is 8 miles to the
nearest town with a grocery store. All in all a BEAUTIFUL park and I
would stay here again and again! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
My family and I
stopped in just for the night on a road trip to get some shut eye and I
wish we could have stayed longer. You won't find better hospitality
anywhere and the park is exceptionally maintained and clean. And I gotta
say the bathrooms are the cleanest I've seen while camping/rv'ing in my
life. There's even an electric heater on the far side of the shower to
keep you warm. They are military friendly and take care of their own. I
will stay there again.

Carol and I just spent
a wonderful week exploring Southeastern Oregon and the Northern California
Redwoods. We home-based at Lone Mountain RV Park, and it made our week so
much more enjoyable. Not just the great RV Park, with its pleasant
surroundings, spotless amenities, but the pleasant people we met there.
Jim and his wife made our stay even better, answering our questions, even
recommending a local welder that repaired our bike rack! Denver, one of
the staff, was kind enough to check our "check engine" light, which gave
us peace of mind so we could travel over to Crescent City and the coast.
We met other friendly RV'ers at the Park, and everyone was courteous and
welcomed our little "Scamp." The park was quiet, clean, and the O'Brien
Store was only a short walk away. We look forward to another visit soon.
Thanks, Glenn, for a wonderful week!

What an undiscovered
gem! You have it all here. The shower is very clean as is the laundry. The
owner and the host are some of the nicest. My two girls and I have voted
this our favorite place to camp! We will be coming back!!

Stayed during the end of June, 2010. The
hosts and manager, as well as the owner are outstanding. The park is clean
and modern. There are many other parks along the way from Cave Junction,
this one was the nicest. Highly recommended.

We were so delighted to find this park!
The staff is helpful & the residents are friendly.
Everything is nice and clean. TV and wi-fi reception are
both great. We can walk to the post office, store and
restaurant within 5 minutes. We love to relax by the lake in
the afternoons.

We had a restful time for a week at this
wonderful R.V. Park. It is not only beautiful and clean but quiet and
close to attractions. We will highly recommend it to our friends.
Mark & Lisa Fargo (O'Brien, OR)
My wife and I just love
LMRV. The owner, Glenn, is incredibly nice and hospitable. This is
probably the cleanest RV resort we've ever been to. Our pets love it too!
It's far enough in the country to be secluded and quiet yet close enough
to Cave Junction(8 mi.) which has all the amenities. We highly recommend
LMRV, it's the only place we'll stay in southern Oregon. If you like gold
prospecting, there's plenty of that around here too.

My parents moved to Cave Junction 15 years
ago, we have 'camped' in their
driveway twice a year since then,
have to drive to Valley of the Rogue State Park to dump before the drive
back north...
We have found 'our home away from home' while in CJ - what a wondrous
addition to the community --
Thanks Glenn, Mike, Kathy & Jim -- we love your park and we will see you
again in November. PS - our hairy kids love it too!!
Curt & Joyce (O'Brien, OR)
We have lived here since March, 2009 &
just love it. Everyone is so friendly & made us feel like family. It is a
beautiful clean RV park. We plan to spend a long time here because of the
quiet beauty. You are in the country but also close to Cave Junction &
Grants Pass. Lots of attractions to see. The pond & beach are so peaceful
& quiet. You couldn't ask for a better place to live. The managers &
owners are so accommodating & helpful. Thank you for this wonderful RV
park.

For the RV
traveler/tourist, this RV park represents the best overnight camping rates
and facilities in Southern Oregon.
Although as yet we have not stayed at the RV park, We have watched this
park progress from wilderness to a beautiful RV park over the past two
years. We live approximately 35 miles NE of the RV park in Grants Pass,
OR. Since we are recent RV owners, my wife and I have been visiting the
various RV parks in the SW corner of Oregon. As the summer weather
arrives, we do expect to stay at this very modern RV park. The owners have
installed many high-tech enhancements for the park from pure water and
sanitation systems to easy access from Hwy 199 and beautiful landscaping
at each camping site. The park is near the Oregon coast and many other
great attractions and adventures in SW Oregon.
The park manager and owners are very customer friendly and are interested
in giving the RV traveler great value.
Mick & Donna (Gold Hill, OR)
We lived in the park
for 2 months and we loved it. We spend occasional week-ends there even
now. It's beautiful and everyone is so friendly. It's a lovely park.
Jim & Kathy (O'Brien)
We came, We saw, We stayed!
The beauty of the park, the good people
and the beauty of the area. What more could you ask for? To quote an old
friend, "Welcome to the loveable, likeable, livable, Lone Mountain R.V.
Resort!"
Marie (Camarillo, CA)
What a pleasant surprise to find this
wonderful RV Resort after a long days drive. Your grounds are beautiful
and I loved the tiki lights that flickered during the night. The whole
atmosphere afforded a chance to relax and unwind after a long hard day. I
plan to tell everyone that I know that might be coming through southern
Oregon to stop by and spend some time in your beautiful park.
Jim & Mary Hayes
We stayed for two nights in September.
The weather was unbelievably nice. We plan on moving to this area when we
retire. The Park was very neat, clean and quite.
We will be back.
Randy & Linda Harris
We have stayed at many RV Parks on the
West Coast. There are few that compair to the charm of Lone Mountain RV.
The manager went out of his way to make sure we were happy and that we
knew of all of the local attractions... You must see World Cats park just
a few minutes north of the Park!!!
Tom
Great Park & Great Prices!!!
George & Debbie
Lone Mountain RV Park and the O'Brien
area are so beautiful. We hope to return as soon as possible. Thank you so
